HOME Comics Anthology
Dublin Comic Arts Festival (DCAF)

‘HOME: A Comics Anthology on Belonging in Ireland Today’ is a print anthology of short comic stories by artists and writers who have made their home in - or who have a close connection to Ireland. The anthology features 12 4-page short comic stories that explore the themes of ‘home’ and ‘belonging’ in Ireland. My roles included production and project management; art direction for the graphic design and illustration elements; web design of the project website; copywriting and communications; and the exterior and interior cover design and typography. The cover illustration is by comic artist Debbie Jenkinson, with my assistance on art direction and design. Debbie Jenkinson is also credited with pitching the concept of ‘Ireland as home’ as the comics anthology theme.

HOME features stories from the following contributors: Rayne Booth; Jareth Drake; Nene Lonergan; Éireann Lorsung; Megan Luddy O'Leary & Feargha DeCléir NíChíannaigh; Elly Makem; Kathryn McGrane; Kishan Nayar; Finn O’Sullivan; Mari Rolin; Seosamh Ruáin; and Fintan Taite.

HOME was funded by generous support from the Arts Council of Ireland, and was honored to be recognized as a nominee for Outstanding Anthology at the prestigious 2023 Ignatz Awards, the festival prize of the Small Press Expo (SPX)!
